Hello! And welcome to your HON 205 course blog!
Most weeks this quarter will include a blog component. Here, you will practice your writing and analysis skills. The course blog will give you the opportunity to explore your ideas through a less formal type of writing than is expected in conventional academic papers. You’ll develop your own voice while engaging the ideas of your classmates. Be creative, and don’t be afraid to examine questions to which you may not have clear answers.
Remember:
Blog posts should be between 500 and 700 words (about one single-spaced page) and are due on Mondays by 11:59 p.m. On the weeks you are assigned to comment, you will need to post two comments on your peers’ blogs of at least 150 words each; comments are due on Tuesdays by 11:59 p.m.
Do not spend too much time on writing blog posts. The goal is to supplement and expand our in-class discussions. Posts and comments should only take fifteen to twenty minutes to complete. If you find you are struggling with time management, come see me.
* Note: Comments must go beyond compliments! See the Course Blog Schedule & Instructions document on D2L for tips and requirements.
Happy blogging!
